The Café at Christ Church is a charming spot tucked inside the historic church in Jubilee Square, Woking. It offers a casual, welcoming atmosphere that balances quiet reflection with a lively café buzz, making it a popular weekend brunch destination for families and locals alike. Particularly on Saturday mornings, the café fills with parents bringing their little ones after library rhyme sessions, creating a friendly and relaxed community vibe.

The interior stands out with its unique setting within the church, offering plenty of seating space without feeling cramped. The atmosphere strikes a comfortable middle ground—busy enough to feel social but calm enough for easy conversation, aided by thoughtfully curated background music. For those who enjoy a sit-down break that’s more than just grabbing a quick coffee, this place fits naturally into a slower, easygoing day.

Menu highlights cater well to varied tastes, with notable mentions including a gluten-free bacon sandwich praised for its flavor and simple quality. Tea lovers will find the strong Earl Grey a satisfying choice, and the café also offers a range of classic sandwiches, from Chicken, Avocado & Pesto to Brie & Cranberry. The pricing sits comfortably in the mid-range, making it accessible for regular visits without feeling like an indulgence.

One standout feature is the warm and attentive staff who contribute to a sense of welcoming continuity — the kind that encourages repeat visits. Whether stopping by for a filter coffee or sitting down for a casual afternoon tea, guests tend to appreciate the friendly service alongside the food quality.

Do note that the café undergoes seasonal closures for renovation, which means its ambiance and offerings might shift slightly on reopening. When open, it suits anyone looking for a sturdy local café experience imbued with the quiet gravitas of its church setting—families, solo readers, or catch-ups between friends on mild, quieter afternoons.

Lovely cafe with plenty of sitting and delicious food. We recently discovered this cafe and visiting almost every Saturday for brunch after our library rhyme time session with our little one. Staff is friendly and food is reasonably priced. Highly recommended this cafe in Woking. And this cafe is temporary closed from 2 March till September for renovations.

Such a pretty and unique interior, definitely worth the visit if only for the atmosphere. Loved my strong earl grey and chocolate cake, had some reservations about a teacake and my partner didn’t like his coffee at all so some wins, some losses, overall a good experience though and will come again. It’s buzzy but not too loud, music just right for everyone to be able to chat without yelling, just a nice place.

Had afternoon tea here during the jubilee celebration and it was our first time visiting this local spot. We were blown away by the quality VS the price. The afternoon tea offering was delicious and the staff were also exceptional, polite, kind and super friendly. I cannot recommend enough and really hope that they bring back the afternoon tea as it was truly delightful!

The toasties are fantastic, the cakes are sweet, the staff are lovely, and they make delicious coffee. Usually I think there are comfy sofas but during these Covid times it's just standard tables and chairs but they're comfy enough. It's a lovely place to stop for a coffee and bite to eat if you're in the town centre. Oh, and if you like jacket potatoes, theirs are HUGE!

And it is real! A nice English breakfast inside a church! And a super service too. I came a bit early before the opening and the nice waitresses let me in with a smile. Great start, then every thing went in order, tea, eggs, sausages. Thanks God!

The food is good, the staff are polite. Found the menu is simple but delicious and soups are fantastic & full of flavour. Only thing that could help is a way to clear your table to help others who come to sit down after you.
